Default Stripers

I caught 1 the other day, probably aound 12" but man that thing was strong. Felt like a 4lb largemouth , had me screaming for the net till I saw it. Are they all that powerful?

yeah sometimes when we prefish when we see em thats what we throw..... 5 or 6 years ago for some reason the fishin for stripers was unbelievable and we would go to a school and throw 1/2 or 3/4 oz rattle traps and catch em.... the stiper boats would look at us like "WTH.... we havent caught nothin"

my dad onced convinced my mom to go sightseeing on this lake.... this was right after she had gotten out from the hospital from cancer (shes ok.... that was 6 years ago) so she was kind of frail..... so it was evening and he had one rod in the boat( she said to take none but my dad and i are fishermen at heart so he took one).... it had a rattle trap on it and when we saw the first huge school he stopped hooked one and handed it to my mom.... little while later she had landed a 12 lber..... it was cool sein her do it... then he caught a couple more and let my bro and i reel em in... he got to catch one too.... none as big as moms..... one of my favorite times ever
