Don't have any around here, no bowfins either. Seems to me like they have been really blown out of proportion in how dangerous or destructive they would be. I'm sure they do compete with other gamefish but it seems they kind of fill a niche that was currently kind of empty. I don't nessasarily want them here, but having another big predator fish to catch wouldn't be all bad either in my book.
We do unfortunately have asian carp. While they are good cut bait for catfish and they are a lot of fun to shoot out of the air with a bow, I think I would be much more concerned about how destructive they may prove to be. |

It seems a lot of the time that invasive species get a 20 year run, then things balance out. So it seems to have been with hyacinths. Hope the same goes for silver carp.
I think the snakeheads might not be much of a problem, but the test will be when it ends up in various different types of water.
