Default I didn't winterize

At the end of the season, i flushed my motor, dug rocks out of my impeller, oiled the impeller, and changed the oil. Other than washing my boat, i haven't really done anything else.

My boat is stored in my garage. Will I have problems in the spring because I did not take it to the dealer and have it officially winterized? Is there anything that I should do now?

You did what I would have done. All but oiling the impeller. I would consider it winterized if its in your garage and not getting any water in the hull. I always keep my motor trimmed down in the garage to so all water can drain.

I still haven't done mine either and I feel terrible about it. My garage never gets below freezing and all the water is out of it so I'm not worried about any of that. The main thing that needs done is fogging the motor, which I plan to do tomorrow. But I can only pull the plugs and rotate the motor by hand since all water up here is hard. I hope the carbs are O.K. Did you run Stabil through it in the last tank or 2? The only other major thing I think is to disconnect the batteries and keep them charged up while in storage.

A lot of people run antil freezer threw the motor the pink stuff. Put the muffs on with a cut hose pour until it spits pink. I dont do the winterizing for mine but I think thats what he did plus the fogging. Also stabilized the tank and ran some into the motror.
Bad thing for me is the boats up north so I can't check or charge the batts.

Make sure to give each cylinder a good shot of fogging oil and fog down your carbs or F.I. intakes, its just to inhibit rust.

I didn't winterize my inboard a few years ago, thought I drained all the water--that thought cost me $4500.00 We don't winterize our bassboat, but we use it at least 1or 2 times a month.

I heard that newer motors use better parts and dont rust anymore like they use too.
Not sure what is diff. but that's what the dealers up here say for the new mercs.

WISHIN & ALL,
I would suggest pulling the prop to check for line on the prop shaft, then drain the lower end to check for water and re-fill if no water in lower unit. I found a few drops of water in my lower unit when I drained it this fall, so I guess I will pull the unit and replace the gaskets & seals, then replace the water pump as long as I have it torn down.
