Is there anything better?
Talking FOOD, well snack food, guys. Get your minds off fishing or more likely SEX, the question is: Is there anything better than - salty pretzels and ice cream? Getting ready to head out for our last Tuesday Night Tournament @ Marsh Creek and needed something to tide me over until dinner. Salty Dutch pretzels and mint choc. chip ice cream. OMG that was tasty.

I got to pass on the chocolate mint. I am a fan of vanilla zingers and zebra cakes to tide me over.

Zebra cakes were known at my college as "Pyro Chow"... As for pretzels, I love 'em... Right now I'd do about anything to have one of the big pretzels from either the German café at EPCOT @Disney World, or from the Smoky Mountain Brewery in Tennessee.

I'm actually quite serious, its good and good for you. An added bonus is all the gas, which is a great ice breaker for interesting conversations.

They released the list of finalists for the State Fair of Texas fried food contest today. "Fried Bacon Cinnamon Roll" was one of the finalists. There must be something to bacon and sweets together.

Definitely something with the salty bacon and sugar. I make some killer freezer jam and if you smear a good glob of that jam on a hot biscuit and put a good slab of bacon in it, you sir, have the breakfast of champions!

If you can find away to use a smoker in preparing these you maybe this sites most popular angler. I will confess to trying a deep fried OREO at the fair this year. Went good with the fried cheese curds and ya have to end the night with fried donuts and cotton candy. Oh ya I snuck a few chocolate covered strawberries from the young lady who I was with. End it all with a ride on the 'Zipper' and now thats a night on the town to be remembered! Can anyone say. "SUGAR SHOCK!" with me!

I know this sounds weird, but I have the hankering for some rumaki. I'm not sure who knows what it is, but it's basically chicken livers marinated in soy sauce, ginger, and brown sugar, then wrapped with a piece of bacon and fried or baked. It's pretty much a Cat 5 cholesterol attack.

Joedog, I leave the smoking and grillin' to the hubby. Nobody does it better. We make a good team. As for NFE's rumaki, I didn't know that was what it was called but I have had it and it is great.
