steveomac, VERY GOOD article. and that is the way to rig. i personally don't use a c-rig all that much, mostly texas rig. c-rig is just too time consuming for me. but it is a great setup, catches fish everyday. well for someone out there it does.hahahaha, hardly nothing helps me.

Sometimes I use a "modified" carolina rig setup (quick and dirty method). I will texas rig my plastic (weightless) but if I need to go deeper and give the fish a different presentation, I will place a split shot on my line about 12" to 48" from the hook. I am careful not to pinch the line too hard as it may weaken it at that point.
