Are they bad to backlash when casting out?

Ummm, yes they are, until you practice and get good enough to make them not...does that make any sense? Although everybody gets backlashes every now and then.
Go here: http://pages.infinit.net/fishing/bait101.htm This is a good start, anyway. The only thing that will really keep you from backlashing is practice, though. Keep at it, and use cheap line, in case you need to cut it. Good luck. Thanks to Reb for the link from a year ago |

There is a learning curve, and EVERBODY gets backlashes, but the more you use them the less frequent they are.

And for some, the "Curve" looks like this; .......................
I know this guy who, well, can turn a simple cast into something an eagle would consider a luxury home. Can't recall his name, but I plan to buy stock in his favorite line company. FR Last edited by FlyRod; 07-01-07 at 03:14 AM. |

perhaps, but they cannot backlash without angler input.
