Brain storm with me -- Balancing rods.
Was down in the ol basement today and walked by my fishing stuff. Saw the pile of rods leaning against the wall, and saw my old shakespeare. "Thing's butt ugly." I thought to myself. "The handle just looks bad and is to thick. Might look nice a spit grip!"
Well it's January and I missed my ride to the basketball game, so why the heck not! Yup! Decided to get the knife and sand paper out and make some athletic improvements. Split the grip and booted the fore-grip (kinda, lol). Well she turned out pretty decent if I say so my self, better anyway IMO... 2nd time I ever done it. I could spiffy it up a little if I really wanted to but than what'll I do tomorrow? lol Well when I took the fore-grip off, I also took part of the foregrip off I also took the part that slides over the reel foot, so I gotta duct tape it on there, but who cares! lol Looks better I think. Unfortunately my esthetic improvements threw the balance WAY off (bout 4.5" away from real steam). So I was wondering if yall could help me brain storm some ways to help balance her out! I thought I could take big ol long screw and screw it up into the butt and into the hallow blank. Any ideas folks? Here's a pic (like the table cloth?)... wish I'da took a before pic. lol But here's what I looked like.
