Slow Roll Wild-Eye

So I went fishing with a guy today that was supposed to be a pretty good fisherman. This is what he was doing. He was letting a 3" wild-eye sink to 30-40' deep and slowly twitching it. He wound up pulling a 3lb Large Mouth this way. It felt like a slap to the face to me due to my technical tackle and presentation strategies that I go through. Does anyone use this technique and what are your thoughts?

i like to let a swimbait sink to the bottom and after it sits still for 5 or so seconds i will rip it real hard and the repeat.

I Like To Slow Role A Swim Bait In About 20 To 30 Feet. The Model Is The Spro Slow Sink

Ditto, C-rig01 and Berkley83 in warmer water. Especially the Storm swimbaits. Slow rolling them in colder water can also be productive. I never knew anybody else did that and thought I'd come up with my own technique. Go figure...pigs can't swim and they're not too original, either...sad, really.

I slow roll several different rattle baits over humps in the summer as well as big 1 oz spinnerbaits. I fish them as deep as 30 feet. The fish react the same at 30 feet as they do at 5. Fish2win

HA!! Thanks, L6! Clever, sir! That made my day! I did want to add to the previous post that the Storm baits I use are the Wildeyes, the ones without the belly trebles. I've had good luck with the shad and perch.
