magnetic bullet weights

there is a write up about this things in the latest bassmaster magazine. they claim that the magnets are strong enough to hold the weight against the eye of the hook while flipping and pitching but it will still slide out of the way when fighting a fish. sounds like a cool idea if it works as advertised, also they are a little pricey.

I for one, rig my baits so the eye of the hook in in the bait, so I don't know if the magnet would work if you do that. I doubt it would then. It is still a good idea.

meh, it'd be my luck I'd have that magnetic sinker tied on in the Ohio river and it'd get stuck on someones washing machine that they dumped in LOL jk

I've been reading about some studies that show bass are attracted to magnetized metals. Hence the product "Force Beads" by Tru-Tungsten for use on Carolina Rigging and such. I doubt it makes one difference though.

Experts say that sharks are attracted to diver's metal cages, their camera's, etc. because they have a weak magnetic field around them. Same principle with the bass?

i have heard the same thing about the force beads and fish being attracted to magnetic objects. however i didn't get the impression that this was the reason they did this with the bullet weights. i think it is just another way to "peg" a weight to a softplastic bait.

All living things give off electricity and some magnetic traits. The magnetic is suspected to be due our bodies applying a charge to the iron in our bloodstreams. The part that is debated the most is how much that can be detected by other living things. From what I had researched the fresh water fish that shows the most attraction to it are catfish. Possibly because there are electric catfish in the world.

Sharks posses Lorenzini ampules but bass don´t so that bass can detect electric fields is nonsense.

pro troll designed the "black box".It changes the electrical electrical field your boat produces.Your boat electrical field can repel salmon and trout species, the box changes the frequency or neutralizes the negative frequency your boat may have. Is it non sense ? Many people believe that it works.

It's been tested that ducks do in fact migrate due to magnetism and the poles. Scientists once put a magnetized "helmet", per se, on a pintail duck, and it couldn't find it's way to it's wintering grounds in Mexico. Just thought I'd throw that ou there. Duck hunting is passion number two...
