Default Well, I got the Bass Monkey off of my back

Went fishing again this past weekend and caught 3 medium sized bass, the first of my rookie season. I had a 4th but he got loose probably because I did not set the hook quick enough. I was at a pond and I used a rat-l-trap and a top water bait without a bite, but the Texas Rigged worms did the trick.

Previously, I had caught a few fish, but none of them were bass and none with a plastic worm, so I was happy to know that I can catch 'em with those.

Thanks to Rebbasser and everyone else for answering questions and being helpful.

Oh yeah, the best part was this all happened in front of the father-in-law. Ha ha.

Way to go, TSF! That's great! May they be the first of many.

Hang in there, brushhog-you'll get there!

Default Thanks reb - JB

Thanks guys I need the encouragement right now- I caught plenty last year - I think part of the problem is all my new knowledge, (and i can't get out for longer than an hour or two) I'm so anxious to try all the stuff I've learned that i get away from what caught fish last year. Just to prove wher not bass virgins - here are the last two fish of last year - notice how much bigger Jr's fish is (he wasn't into holding fish that day!)
