I understand that about how high the engine sits, but my engine is bolted to the transom and hasn't been changed so that isn't a factor here. If I had a jack plate that would be something to look for though. Thanks

It also happens even on the transom if mounted to high,as motor has different hole sets,or a 20 in is on where a 25 is needed.You made no mention as to what boat its on,but all symptoms seem to indicate lwp.Either pump or flow into lower unit.
Bad termostats can also cause it,either in error or in lack of movement in them (basically a spring loaded valve). Hope you do find the cause,goodluck. |
