Line for deep cranking

Now that I ordered the rod and reel I need the line. Will be fishing mostly stained water. What do you like for deep cranks?

I like fresh, often re-spooled, 10 lb Suffix Elite mono. I crank weedlines and shell and gravel beds, so I don't need the abrasion resistance of fluoro as I would if I were fishing around wood and large rocks.

I use Sufix Siege (smoke green) for my cranks. However, I hear Sufix has actually just introduced a line called "Deep Crankin'". You might give that a try and let us know how it does.

I use either Bagley Silver Thread or Trilene XL, green color, in 12 pound.

i use 10 lb pline fluro. a lot of guys use 12 lb. but 10 lb gets down even deeper and that is the whole reason for deep cranking. i've caught some good fish on 10 lb. and havent had any problems with breaking off.

I was using 10 pound Suffix Elite, but the stuff starts breaking after about 2 months of usage. I switched to Trilene 100% flourocarbon in the 10 pound on one reel and 12 pound on another reel. So far, in spite of a little more memory than I like in a line, it has done pretty well. It seems to let the cranks run the maximum depth a lot quicker.

Saw the stuff at academy and am very interested to hear some input.

10# YoZuri Hybird, green or smoke. Tough, abrasion resistant and fluro coated.

That is what I use. I like it because it's not to bad on the pocket, it's tough so I don't lose has many crankbaits and you can use a lighter line.
