Wink A Fishermans Philosophy

A sure way to get a bite on a slow day is:

1. Talk about changing spots
2. Prepare another rod while one is out
3. Lay your rod down unsecured
4. Go for a sandwich
5. Start to pull the boat anchor
6. Use the worst fly you own
7. Crack open your first beer
8. Crack open your last beer
9. Take notice of the chick on a passing boat, bank or beach
10. Watch others fishing
11. Start reeling in your lines at going home time
12. Give your fishing rod to a female companion or child to hold
13. When your landing net is out of reach
14. When you have cast your line over an obstruction
15. When you line has drifted into impossible weeds
16. When you turn to look at the sunrise or sunset
17. Decide that you need to take a leak

Ur dead on. I usually try to trick the fish by saying "OK, last cast, then i gotta be going". But it never works.

we go to lake erie every year smallmouth fishing with a charter boat. we have two boats 6 guys each, my budy James stayed out real late and fell asleep holding his rod and had the biggest fish of the day on and didnt know it. I screamed at him from the other boat that he had a fish on and he finally woke up and caught the fish. Lucky ***,he did share the big fish pot with me since I woke him up lol
