Default Your advice has worked

I want to thank all of you who post messages. I've been fishing on and off all of my life but didn't really know any real techniques. Most of what I caught was probably because of luck. I got into bass fishing this year and decided I wanted to move away from relying on luck. Of course, I've searched the internet for information on bass fishing techniques. This is definitely one of the best sites out there. Since I've been reading the posts on this site, my fishing has improved greatly. I now consistently outfish my buddies in quantity and quality.

As a side note, it is funny how people swear by a certain lure even when it is not producing anything. I used to use the same couple of lures regardless of conditions, time of year, etc. Now, I know what is likely to work best but will not hesitate to switch to an entirely different lure (say crank to tiki stick.)

One more thing. Bass fishing in the South ROCKS! It is November, and I am still reeling them in.

That's great, Yank! I've learned a ton on these boards, and have been able to pass some stuff on as well. The best of both worlds.

This site is a neat deal, you have alot of people using different lures and their experiences are posted on the site. Its a short cut to learning, imagine the hours your saving by taking someones advice from here rather than taking the time to figure it out on your own ? P N J

You aren't kidding Zooker. I've doubled my tackle this year. The bait monkey is always hanging around. But, I've found there is a need for more than just one crankbait, spinner, etc. Using a different running depth, blade, size, and so on can mean the difference between catching bass and not catching bass. I imagine there might be a point where enough is enough. I'll let you know if I ever get there.

Glad you're here, and glad you've picked up soem helpful tips. This site has without a doubt helped me become more of a complete Bass fisherman, and continues to everytime I get on here. Just remember that some of what you hear is garbage, so always keep an open mind. Many things that some folks like and works for them, is something I dislike, and doesn't work for me. It's all about preferences and confidence, and a few thousand lures never hurt either.
