Man what a night!
My birthday is tomorrow and Britney pulled off something lastnight I never thought she could do, she threw me a surprise party. Dad was responsible for keeping me busy all day while Britney put the finishing touches on everything, so it worked out pretty good that I called dad out of the blue yesterday morning and asked if he want to go drive around Grand and see if any pros were over there looking around before it goes off limits before the classic (we did see several of there trucks at some boat ramps). Anyways Britney had been planning this thing for a month or so and I never had a clue. She had friends from my last job that I don't get to see as much as I would like, friends from my new job, family, and fishing/hunting buddies there. She talked me into going out to eat lastnight and there were so many red flags that I didn't notice. Like her being in a huge rush for some reason, and the manager at Outback coming out and saying he was sorry that the food took so long because he heard we had a party to get to so he discounted our bill. I just figured he had the wrong table but he actually almost let the cat out of the bag LOL. While we were eating people were filing into our house and standing in our living room in the dark. When we got home I noticed our porch light was off and I thought we left it on when we left to eat. Then I walk through the door and see what I thought was someone standing by our french doors and my heart dropped. I honestly thought I walked in on someong breaking into our house. I rushed over to turn on the light and see what was going on and as soon as the light came on people were all around me yelling "surprise". I was carrying a 30lb bag of dog food that I stopped and bought on the way home and it instantly turned into a weapon LOL. I threw it at the first person I seen and ended up catching my father in law in the face with it hahaha. Then I realized what was going on and laughed my butt off. That party was one of the coolest things anyone ever did for me, it meant a lot to be surrounded by so many of my family and friends lastnight, even if they did breaking into my house and scare the hell out of me. They were smart enough to have people blocking my from getting into the gun safe in case I bolted for the guns rather than turning on the lights hahahaha!!!

That's awesome man! I've never had a successful surprise party thrown for me, someone always gives it away or it gets sniffed out. I have been involved in throwing a few though. It's always a great sense of accomplishment when it's pulled off right and the look on the person's face is priceless. I'm glad you had a great surprise party with friends and family and no one got hurt.

HBD early and I've enjoyed reading about what Britney pulled off on here and FB. I think she loves her man. He is a pretty good fellow, but don't tell him I said that

Thank you guys.
Ron, she has no idea how much that party meant to me. I have never been much of a birthday party type of guy, I always just want to go out to a steak house and grab something to eat and maybe have a few beers, so this was totally unexpected.

That was part of the genius plan, we live in the country but have neighbors that aren't too far away. Everyone parked at their house and I was told they are having a church deal so I never thought anything about it LOL.

I had a surprise party once...it was a long time ago <sniffle>
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To pull off such a surprise is quite a feat and I wonder where they all parked the cars! In this case of home invasion, good to hear the weapon of choice was not more than the bag of dog food!
