Rapala DT Breakage.
It seems like some have had problems, and some haven't. Almost every DT I have bought (8-10) have broken. Maybe I've just picked bad ones, maybe I'm doing something wrong...
What about you guys? BB

With my DT's and JSR's I will sometimes fling it out and just reel in nothing but the bill!! Rapala will replace if you sent the faulty lure back to them.

That's funny. My DT 10 and DT16 are the only two that haven't broken. I've broken DTFAT3s, DT4s, DT6s, and a DTFLAT. BB

Yeah, sure they will, but can you ship a DT with a first class stamp, or do you have to pay more shipping costs? Curious.

On all of mine, the bill has completely broken out of the bait. The bill is whole with a chunk of the balsa wood that is on top of it when whole. Definitely a waste of $8-10. Bryce, I've saving all my lips then shipping them all back to Rapala. Should be able to ship them in a tiny box for $2-3. I think $2-3 is alright if I'm going to get 5-6 lures that cost about $8-9 each back. BB

The one shallow giver I've got is fine! I don't however knock it into things much, not really much to knock it into the places I fish.

Oh yeah, I understand your point, but since hearing from you and others, I'm not buying any more DT's, so unless I break the couple more I have, I guess I'm waiting to break more.

A few months ago I would say your crazy but over the last two months I have had nearly 75% breakage of the DT's. I don't know what to think because up until now I have never had one issue other than the price. Seems like they are in a slump but I wont be replacing them. Whats a replacement good for if it comes after you need it? Too many choices out there now a days. With my new TOW what I have will last and when they are gone I am not replacing them.

Never have had a problem, but that's not to say I won't.
