Many times. I now have an educated thumb that can stop a lure in mid flight to prevent lure loss to them nasty old trees.

Been there.

A tree story: A good friend of mine, that I met through another fishing website, was often teased during our annual rally on the Potomac River for his errant casts resulting in several lures hung high in the trees during the several days of the event. Sadly he passed away 3 years ago and at the rallys since, before blast, off we get in line and motor past a large tree and cast lures into it and break them of as a remembrance. Some of the low hangers have been removed but many of the ones higher up are still there. I guess the other guys at the ramp think we're all nuts, but they don't know the story.

I really like that. It's a very cool way to remember and memorialize a fellow fisherman and friend.
