Disengaging Levelwind and Heavy Braid
Do any of you use heavy braid ( >50lb) with a disengaging levelwind reel?
I just put a whole spool of 65 lb Power Pro on my Silver Max, and it just seems awful heavy and rough...I can imagine it screeching back and forth across the spool through that stationary line guide. The 30lb braid I was using didn't seem too bad (though as you know it was crappy braid, so it had to go). What are your experiences with this type of setup?
