I see. next time I'll bring a rod and stuff. I don't know though, i only have a medium acton st.croix, that's my lightest. Or that rod i bought at the flea market. Today we went to catch bait. about 40 crickets, 9 bees (one stung me... I decided to grab em with my hands and stomp on them), 12 bees. don't know how long they will live. There is said to be catfish in there... It'sperfect for cats, a nice, muddy bottom. I'll use liver wrapped in pantyhose for those.

alright, cool. We planned on having about 4 catfish rigs out (my friend has 4 ugly sticks or so), we are bound to get a hit. Then 3 rods for panfishing. this will be fun.

What in the world would give you the idea of Liver and pantyhoses ? Your Mom, or sister is going to be mad as L, when they find their pantyhose missing.Working in sheet metal fabrication, I was told when you get a metal sliver in your hand , rub a pair of pantyhose over the sliver and it will extract the sliver from your hand.I thought he was full of crap, but there was a guy I worked with tried it and it worked, but it tore a hole in his wifes pantyhose. His wife gave him some static about and one thing led to another. He was late getting to work the next day and when he got there he had a black eye and explained his wife beat him up , called the cops and they came and arrested him and held him overnight ?I anit messing wit no pantyhoses for slivers , or fishing.

ROFL pnj. Cranky, I use beetle spins and rapala floaters in the smallest size, on an ul rod and reel, with 6 lb test. Cricket also work good, you can get the dead one from the local pet shop for free, as the lizards will only eat live ones. I don't use live bait when panfishing, because I catch too many small ones, when I catch on on a rapala, I know its at least 6 inches. I usually keep all over 8 inches for dinner though.

cranky,
heres a tip unknown to many, on the way to the bait shop simply slip that pantyhose over the head.... its a proven fact that human sweat along with that liver always produces fish |

Pnj, reb gave me the idea. And rodman, next time i catch a shiner, i think i will keep it. That pond has no bass, or so i am told. besides, if there were bass there would be a little bit less panfish. And i woulda seen one by now. I don't care too much about size... I can just use anything as bait pretty much.
