Anyhone fish Anna in past two weeks?
I fished Anna twice in past two weeks. Both days were days that had a couple of warm weather days prior. Each day was a day or two prior to a front and was a day that was in the 60's, nice days. Only negative I thought was one day had horrible blue bird skys. My thought that with the days warming the water up at least a little that some fish might move up. I Fished many different techniques from 15' to 1', alot of rocks and tried just a little grass near deeper water in middle of the day. But I fished mostly 5 fo 15 feet . Back in creeks and main lake stuff. The water temps ranged from mid 50 s to
60s. Fished cranks, various types of swimbaits, plastics, jerkbaits, worms, deeper type swimbaits, shakey heads and spoons. One of those two days I caught two small dinks in one tiny area and that is it. Fished from 208 up. I mean not a bite. What i thought would be fairly productive days stunk horribly. Not a nibble. My question is has anyone been out and have you caught fish? And how? Trying to figure out what the heck I did wrong. The only thing I didn't try was concentrate on deeper water than 15'. Alot of the areas I fished had deeper water very close though. I would think that there would be fish in the areas I was fishing??? Thanks for any insight. |

DONNIE!!!!! Welcome to the site.....it's about time!
Not a lot of people on here fish Anna on a regular basis. You may want to copy and paste these questions to the VA site. Or posted it under Topics for Specific Bodies or Regions John H. has been doing well on Burton's craws the last two weeks on the lake. He's posted two pics recently on FB. First one with a 5lb and a 6lb and the last one from last wednesday with a 12lb. It's a monster. Biggest bass caught there in a while. All have been caught on the craws. Don't know how deep or type of cover or structure. Last edited by 3dkicker; 11-15-11 at 12:23 PM. |

Wow!
First of all...they do exist. I was beginning to wonder if there were any big'uns left. Gives me hope when I'm using my monster baits lol.
Yeah Dave, not sure why but it didn't dawn on my until I got the response, "wheres Anna?" Duh...for some reason I thought this was a local site. Just hadn't had a chance to read a lot of posts. Love it though...now, I gotta get me one of them big things! |

Now hearing that the fish was only 10.5 and not 12.
Let me see if I can post the pic JB sent me from last week. |
