Weekly Fishing Report Lake Fork
Well, the recent cold has stalled the fish for a while. The new moon should get everything back on track. This has been a tough week for me. The bite has been very inconsistent and not a lot of bites. The weightless baits wacky Wave Tiki Sticks, Wave Tiki Sticks weightless, Lake fork Tackle Ring fries weightless, and flukes have all been the baits of choice. I have caught some on Carolina Rigs on the edges of creeks. Pitching a jig into the cedar trees has produced some nice fish. The lipless crank bait is still producing plenty of fish. The crappie are all over the shallow water. Minnows under corks has been the best way to catch a limit. We have been catching them on wacky worms while fishing for bass.
I still have a few April dates left. Give me a call if you want to fish. Jim Reaneau 1-888-918-5088 |
