cleaning smoke
hey, I has a beena frooging yesterday and today, got some nice in, but 95 degrees me by myself drenched in sweat, trying to pic em wasnt the greatest, anyway my reel has ick in the eyelet, (excuse my lack or reel knowledge at moment) the thing under the eylet that twists, under the seat, and lord knows were else. Could i put it under the sink and blast it with water then use a Q-tip to de-muck it, it is fine withe its oil and lube, but just dont want to get the muck to stick in and cause a problem, it is my prize reel,

I wouldn't personally run my reels under water without giving them a proper cleaning and re-lube. If you aren't comfortable doing that, get a toothbrush and some Simple Green and try to scrub the gunk off from the outside. If you get a bunch of water inside your reel, it will need to be re-lubed. If you decided to use the toothbrush and Simple Green on the worm gear, you will need to apply a couple of drops of reel oil on it when you're finished. The best option would be to have a professional properly clean your reel.
One other thing. If you're going to come here and ask us a bunch of questions, (which you are welcome and encouraged to do) please have the common courtesy to proofread your posts so they make sense. Your posts are usually difficult to understand at best and unintelligible at worst. It reflects very poorly on you and it is rude to the people who's advice you seek.

For the worm gear, you could try a can of compressed air, and try blowing out as much debris as you can. I caution you with using a q-tip around the worm gear. I did that once and somehow it acidently ate some cotton from my q-tip and took it up inside the worm gear housing. I had a heck of a time getting it out.

That'll work. They're actually compressed carbon dioxide (CO2).
Just be careful not to get a can of dihydrogen monoxide instead....that stuff is brutal on any metal, and will cause it to rust in no time....

Be careful using compressed air on an assembled reel. The canned stuff isn't that much pressure but you don't want to force crud deeper into the reel and bearings etc. Brushing off visible dirt and a light rinse won't hurt anything. Lay it out to dry thoroughly before storing. The worm gear (moves the line guide side to side) can be lightly oiled. From the sounds of the use conditions for your reel I highly recommend a professional deep cleaning/lube at least annually.
