Does anyone else here bowl?
I league bowl on Tuesday nights. I enjoy it. My average is in the mid-180's.

I like to, although just for fun, not in a league or anything. My high is about 130, so you can tell I don't get to go much, lol.

I took a bowling class in college, it was a lot of fun. I managed to break 200 once, that was a long time ago though. Don't bowl much these days.

I always said I'd quit bowling if I had a 300 game. Never did and quit bowling anyway. Best I ever started out with was 7 strikes in a row.

Yes I've bowled in leagues for 33 years. Only on Wed. nights now with same team for 15+ years. One of my teammates and I have bowled togather 25 straight years. I use to tournament bowl alot, everywhere from Chicago to Alantic City, but quit that 12-15 years ago.
I ave around 200 now, use ave 210-213. But I don't bowl for the bowling any more, it's to spend Wed. nights with 4 special friends. ( and try to give them an arse whupping ) My biggest thrill in all the sports I've played in high school and adult life, is watching Adam (BassinBandit) bowl a 300 in league play 4 years ago on my team. I've never had a perfect game, but I know if I ever bowl one it won't as big a thrill as watching Adam bowl his.

I used to when I was a kid and enjoyed it. I might go if my dad wants to go, but that is just about the only time I go. I was also around the 180s - 230s.

I've bowled in a weekly league for 23 years, but it's pretty much just a social league. Avg. is 180-185. It's just a 22-week league, so it's something to do here during the winter.

oh man....i too used to bowl in a league. lordy, must hav ebeen over 20 years ago. my avg was around 180 as well. you know where PINE BOWL is in fultondale? that is where i went. my dad bowled there too. he was GOOOODDDDD, avg over 200. i tried to bowl a few months ago but my elbow and wrist won't let me. see.....i tore a couple of ligiments moving once and it ain't been right since. miss it too. being left handed i have or HAD a natural curve that was awesum. it is a great sport i think. and it is something to do in the winter as well. but i guess i'll have to make a few things in my work shop now a days.

One other bowling-related note -- each spring for the past 23 years I have bowled in an annual fundraiser for the local BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS organization here in Southern MN. Thanks to a fantastically generous group of co-workers and family who make pledges to me each year, I have raised $43,000.00+ over that time. I should come very close to the $50,000 mark in year 25.

I have bowled leagues in the past, usually held an average around 150-160 with my best games in the mid 250s.
Anymore it is just for fun... work and everything else just keeps me too busy. |

My greatest game and my biggest sports accomplishment. It was awesome because I was bowling with 3 great friends and my dad. I remember having started off with the first 11 in a row. I pick up my ball for the last ball in the 10th and realized that no one else....any of the three leagues.....is bowling. I started to shake a little. I calmed myself and then just let it rip. Flush right in the pocket and pins scattered. It was an amazing moment. My dad and friends mobbed me and it was just an amazing feeling. I just hope I can be there when Dad gets his....it will happen.

i understand abbey, i do drink on OCCASION. maybe go through a bottle of tequila in a year or so. used to drink alot in my younger, more stupid days. i don't mind it as long as it is done responseably. i read on facebook about this youngster who goes fishing with a 24 pack before he heads out on the water, then drinks another 12 pack ON the water. i jsut don't like stupidty ya know? done correctly, you can have fun without getting chitfaced.
so don't take it personally. ok?
