Spinnerbait storage
I just replied in the plastics storage thread, but as much trouble as I have with plastics I have more trouble storing spinnerbaits.
How do yall do it?

I put mine in a BPS spinnerbait wallet. I don't like the color but it holds what I have and it's easy to get them out and put them back in.

Try the Plano Spinnerbait Box. I'm not quite sure if that's the name, but it is square in posture, clear, and has three yellow latches. It can fit about 25-30 spinnerbaits and only takes up about 6x6". It's really nice for about $5.00.

I've got a spinnerbait box in my Plano 7771. It's prety nice, although the racks they hang from are so close together, the spinnerbaits get tangles unless they are all small one slike the BOOYAH Pond Magics. I'm going to try the Plano Flipsider for spinnerbiats when I get a tackle bag.

I've tried many different ways and find the spinnerbait binder works best for me. I do keep my spares in the garage in both the Falcon boxes and the Plano boxes.

Tried the Falcon spinner bait box and while it was good, baits would come loose if you drop the box, bump it very hard. Plus it wouldn't hold all my baits. I ended up going to Wal-mart and getting a CD Storage wallet. Got the smaller ones that hold about 30 CD's each. Be sure and get the ones with the clear side pockets. One for White/Clear baits, one for Chart baits and anouther for Misc. Makes it easy to find what you want and they fit well in the end pockets of my tackle duffle bags.

I just installed a new thing in my boat and it should solve both your plastics and spinnerbait problems. Jigs too.

Nitro, I don't currently have a place in my boat for that, but I am still working on it and may look towards that. A lot of people also seem to like the Falcon boxes. May look at those. Right now I am redoing everything, my tackle and boat situation has been very poor since the accident but I am rebuilding it with what I need first, then with what I want. It takes time, but hopefully I get on the water more this year.

That does look nice, Nitro, but I'd be concerned about sun hitting my products and melting skirts, paint, plastics, etc. The picture of the System under the hatch does look nice though.

I already have it, Moose, I just didn't know the correct name for it. It is truly a nice box!

I'm having trouble storing these too. Have any of you tried the Plano Flipsider that holds over 30? I don't think that oddly shaped spinnerbait box will do any good around me.
Falcon spinnerbait box or Plano Flipsider? thanks |

I use the Falcon box, well 2 actually. 1 box is a double spinner the other is made 50% spinner, 50% buzzbait.

The Falcon FTO boxes are expensive, but I think they're a must for a few things. Spinnerbaits are one of them. I love my spinnerbait box.

The flipsider holds more right? do the spinnerbaits get disorganized in the falcons easily?

I don't think they do. And it is A LOT better than a normaly Plano. I've never used the flipsider, so I can't compare the Falcon to that. The Falcon does hold 30 spinnerbaits. Mine is full right now, but I'm going to be getting a Spinnerbait/buzzbait combo box soon and can move some spinnerbaits over.

I used a hillbilly rigged plano 3700, fits in with all my other 3700's nicely but it has six square compartments, and i can fit 60+ spinnerbaits in it. All i did was take a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and a grinder to it, and this is what I came up with...

For what its worth I recently started to use a soft plastic binder to hold my spinnerbaits. The type that have the zip loc type bags in them. So far its working out pretty good. They are arranged by size and color and its easy to quickly flip thur and clearly see them..
