The Little George....
This lure never gets talked about online, so I decided to just go ahead and start a topic about it. I know I'm not the only angler who uses them, who else is here is among the tailspinner devotes?

WTL I too use these and like them. The only thing I do with them is put on different hooks.

That is one lure I have never caught anything on, but the fact I hardly ever throw it may have something to do with that

Thanks, that reminds me of some more stuff packed away rotfl. I need to throw them some more. Only threw them probably 3 hours total. Did catch a dink on it though. I beleive they will catch fish. I will try them, along some weedlines. I know you can't throw them into the wood well at all though. LOL

i throw one now and again -when all else fails- the little feller is very good at picking off schooling bass. when they are hard on a school of bait just chunk this out and burn it back depth is the key with this..early in the spring when the bait fish is less than 2" this lure rules..
don't get me wrong i have caught a ton of fish on them.. alot of fish not just bass. every thing from warmouths/brim to a 20+ pound flat head.fresh water or salt really makes no differance i fish tidal rivers/and sounds during the fall/winter. have caught bass, puppy drum, pickeral, sea trout, spanish mackeral,stripers,hickory/american shad, and up to 3 pound chopper blues..if i head for the coast i take these lures along with some x-raps.. zooker

I have fished the little george for years. The first ones I can remember using were at Toledo Bend in the mid 1970's. I use then now in the winter in the place of a blade bait or sometimes in the summer in the place of a jigging spoon. They will call fish from a distance when the fish are 20 to 30 feet deep. I never chunk and winde this bait but can see the value in that. Tom Mann became a hero when he first invented this little piece of lead . Fish2win

I have used this bait but I really perfer the rocket shad by strike king over this one cause the rocket shad is more weedless....they both are pretty effective like Zooker said at getting schooling bass....I have found they work really weel on fishing deep points...one thing I would do is take off the stock hook on the rocked shad and add a feathered treble...they seem to like it better...
