Default spinnerbait rod

i have a 6' medium baitcast rod with a 6.2:1 reel gear ratio.the rod is e-glass and seems to have a medium action. it is the rhino combo.is this enough to set the hook into bass or do bass hook themselves litterally on spinnerbaits/ i know that zooker should know this.

you still need to set the hook on any lure, the spinnerbait and crankbait require a "sweeping back" motion of the rod to sink those hooks in the bass's mouth....a jig, tube, or worm hookset(on mono) is more directly over your head (if possible) and a requires more emphasis on the rearing back.
On dif line you can pull back just a tad if theres no or little stretch, I always give her hell when I set the hook...ask denny rofl( i usually warn him befoe the hookset so he won't get thrown in the lake)
