I like Silver Thread for mono situations, and i currently enjoy using Spiderwire Stealth for braid situations.

Calcutta braid is good, Ande makes good mono, I personally use alot of Berkeley line. Red cast is the only Shakespeare line that I would personally spool up with

50 lb PowerPro, 8 and 12 lb green Trilene XL and 12 lb Seguar Carbon Pro flourocarbon. Which rod it is on depends on the application.

I resisted braid for a long time, and have only used Stealth and Fireline. From what I've used, the Stealth kills the Fireline, I'm gonna try more brands soon.

i tend to palm my reels while having the line run over the tip of my finger .. this is the ONLY reason i don't use fireline as it will slice your hand apart on a hook set.. zooker
