Hello All,

I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from this forum! In your opinions, which are the top three tournament bass boats being manufactured today. Please list in order of preference. Same question for outboard motors.

Thanks in advance!

Zook for now I will ignore the crack on the FASTEST BADDEST motors ever built. And I might add that I am enjoying GOD I CANT BELEIVE U AM GONNA SAY THIS fishing outta a 896 Savage made by Nitro. Jesh that was hard to say. And yes it has the BLACK MOTA on her. Just wish it was all mine.

Were I a Lotto winner, I'd be dithering between:

Champion 200 Elite OR 210 Elite (Probably the best rough water boats)
BassCat Puma OR BassCat Pantera IV
Legend Alpha 199 OR the soon-to-hit-the-market Legend Alpha 211

First engine choice:

Not sure, but probably whatever Zookums doesn't like.

Note: Believe it or not, Champion is reviving the discontinued 203 Elite. This is in response to the loyal Champ owners who wanted it brought back. It is narrower than the current models (90" beam) and is a faster boat with amazing rough water capabilities.
Another note: There may be an even better rough water bass boat on the market. Gonna be hard to come by, especially in the South and West, but promises to be a fine boat. See:

champion is using the narrow 201 stratos hull under a champion top..same as ranger is using under the z series boats.. they are all made by the same company -genmar..

FR, the warrior boat looks good, but really, who needs that many compartments. I think these bass boats are just cutting holes in the tops of these things and not really thinking about nessesity. I believe many people pile way too much crap in these things just because the space is there. I'm not sure if anyone else reads Bassmaster magazine, but Denny Brauer had a great article in i think April or May issue about his boat. He uses a 20ft boat and only carries nessesary items on the water. Better gas mileage along with other reasons.

So many choices and so much friggin money for them.

Lets keep it simple..

List the bodies of water said boat would be used for and the species of fish sought in each.

We can work from there.

Boat would pretty much be used exclusively on Lake Guntersville (sometimes VERY ROUGH main channel).

Thanks for all the input thus far.

If stability and rough water is the coarse taken then a Triton or a Champion. Champion is a little better in rough water.

But Triton has some cool features..

I would like to say hello, I am new to the forums and to boat ownership. I recently purchased me a new Stratos 176 XT. It is a great boat. I also hope to gain alot of knowledge about bass fishing, boat upkeep knowledge, and in general make some friends. I am from the East Texas area. Again wanted to say hello.
