That's your tax dollars at work buddy. It's most likely there for liability protection against folk who need a warning label to tell them their coffee is hot.

No, that's just to make it easier for people who fish with their Toyota Yaris's to find good fishing spots.

You gotta think about it though, some one rode off in that lake. It's like the warning on the Preparation-H pack, do not consume orally, somebody tried it.

"Road continues into the water" is more accurate. LOL!

I've seen several of those signs before, so even if it is a dumb idea, I guess its a widespread dumb idea.

Truthfully speaking, I would think the sign is there more for dark foggy nights than early clear mornings.

They should just change the sign to read "Boat Ramp".

Now, if this is a 'real roadway' and not just a park road to a boat launch, I'm looking at this differently...I'm not from the area, I'm lost driving down this road and suddenly the road runs into a friggin lake!!!@#$
Who's dang STUPID idea was that?
Now, I'm guessing maybe that a reservoir was created after the road...but I can honestly say that I've never seen a road that runs into water, or off a cliff, or anything so DUMB.

So why not AT LEAST a friggin sign to warn somebody there about to be drivin a submarine?! .... "Hold yer breath kids, we're goin in!"

There is a road in Heber springs Ar. on Greers ferry lake that runs into the lake on one side, then back up and out the other side of the lake. The road was there before the lake yes, but it's still funny to be swimming and feel blacktop under your feet.

There's a road like thatdown the street from us, where it's a real road that ends in a boat ramp, and a year or two back two kids got drunk, drove straight in and drowned... So it's there for a reason.

same here at brookville lake, the old rt101 ends at the farifield ramp, into the water, theres many crosses at the ramp where ppl have gotten lost at night and ran into the water and drowned. Theres even flashing lights and pavement strips to get your attention on the ramp.

From the sound of it, the sign wouldn't have done any good

We have those signs around here too, and I laugh at them everytime I see one.

We have those here as well along with "Bridge my freeze before pavement"...what's funny is, of course, the signs are still there in the dead of summer.
