Trixie Shad

So who has used the trixie shad? Looks like I could catch some fish off them. Might have to listen to the bait monkey.

Rob, I haven't used the Trixie Shad, but I'm sure it will do a fine job. For the past two years I have put together a lure that's very similar. I fuse the body of a Super Fluke or Assassin to the tail of an Ultra-Vibe Speed Worm and fish it like a buzz bait. It's been an excellent bass attractor in vegetation, but I have to learn to do better hooksets, as I've lost more fish on these than I should.

ya usually try to get them out on a blind date first cranky, and then wait and see if something happens

with the soft plastic bait glue or with a lighter

i tried it... instead of meltening, i t blackened. i took two chartruse flukes and tried to make a frog. ill post pics of what i got later

Buy some trixie shads from bitters, exact same bait for a much better price.

They had them on fishing university yesterday and bitters is like 2 minutes from my school!

I haven't seen the trixie shad around here in Houston. I may have to drive to Katy and check at BPS. I'll keep my eyes open for it and that new trixie shark too. I do like what I have seen on TV about the shark. It might give the frog some competition? We'll see.

to use a candle..don't put the plastic in the actual flame..just get it in the "heat zone" so that the plastic heats up and becomes sticky..then stick the two baits together..and heat again if necessary. Thats my method and I haven't had one come apart on me yet.
