Medicine for my fever
I got out on my first fishin trip of the year yesterday and man o man was it a good one. It was about 55 degrees out sunny with the wind blowin about 20mph. I caugth 13 bass that were from 1-3lbs. I caugth every last one of them on a watermelon seed trick worm suprise suprise. I coulda had a easy 20+ fish if the wind didnt mess me up so much. Half the time I didnt know I had a strike till he spit it out.I didnt get anything big enough to hold up in the big bass tourny so I aint got any pics. Tho this time the big one did get away. I hooked up with what I estamate to be around 5 or 6 pounds and he hung me up in a tree top I was fishin. I waited for about 10 minutes for him to get himself lose. I tried to pull it free myslef and I BROKE 50LB POWERPRO!!!! That was the last worm hook I had with me so I rigged up a wacky rig and caught 2 more fish. Lets just say I had a great first trip....

Hey I know how that wind is.. See my post on the other day.. I was dropshot fishing and yeah I missed a couple because of the dam wind.. Didn't know on some and one I missed on a sweet beaver cause I set the hook and I got it back with no legs on it..lol. I was even covering my baits in scent too.

nice day!i like trick worms t-rigged with a 1/8 ounce or 1/4 ounce worm weight.i mainly use watermelonseed and pumpkin. i like them in clear water and i use a ribbontail worm like berkley's 7'' power worm in pumpkinseed, green pumpkin, and electric blue in stained to murky water.
