Id say almost every company now has a line of cheaper riveted Jons, and a line of higher end welded Jons. I know Lowe Roughnecks and G3 Gator are two of the best made most respected tin boats around. Have you looked at the G3 1652SC? I like the hull design better on the G3 than the Lowe, but the Lowe has more storage...actually the fact that it has storage at all makes it better than most other tin boats.

Have you considered the RV160SC from Lowe? You get the better hull design, a real livewell, and a fair amount of dry storage. The RV series is my favorite aluminum boat hands down. When I move to TX, i want the RV170 Bay boat.
