Navionics or Hot Maps.
Just got the Lowrance 522 pretty excited with it. I'm leaning towards the navionics chip, but wanted thoughts in comparing the two softwares. Thanks and good fishin'

All I can answer to is the hot spot chip. I is very good, and is just like the hot spot maps you can buy. I have a 522 as well and like it. I lot of features I will pobably never use but the GPS is great at night and staying is creeks or old road beds marked on the chip. Very good in fog. Visit hot spot internet site to see a list of enhanced lakes. That may lead you to the Nav. if you fish a lot of lakes not on thier list.

Navionics questions
Fishin' Fool,
If I can answer any questions, let me know. I work for Navionics and manage the Midwest Territory. Now I may be a bit prejudiced, but since we have surveyed over 700 lakes with our own boats, and have maps of 14,000 total lakes in five different regions, we have the best cartography (regular, 1' HD increments and the Platinum 3D) in the business. So I'd say there is no comparison. The HotSpots Elite are good, but ours is GREAT. You can find out just what lakes we have in your favorite fishing areas by going to navionics.com Plus, if you already have a Navionics chart and want the latest update, you can buy the newest chart and Trade In you old one for cash from Navionics. http://www.navionics.com Larry Carr LCinOH |

I have Lakemaster and Navionics Premium I think. The Navionics has a lot more lakes and the detail is a lot better. I have only found one mistake on the Hot Maps chip, but overall it is a lot better.
