Default Trailer accessory question

I was looking at guide ons for my trailer. It's a small trailer for my johnboat. I want to get a guide on to make it easier to get the boat back on the trailer in windy weather, choppy water. Also to help steady it in transportation. I was looking at both the board style and the roller style. Either one looks like it will work fine. Here is my question. I was looking at the guide ons that BPS sells. They show in their photos on line a weird cross ubolt mounting system. Two ubolts that criss cross each other on top of the trailer frame and bolt together under the trailer. I've never seen that kind of mounting bracket and question how sturdy it is. Cabellas mounting brackets for their guide ons are a more traditional style of using two plates, one above the frame and one under the frame, with bolts to hold them together. I was wondering if anyone here had used the bracket style sold by BPS for their guide ons?And if so, how sturdy they are? Or should I use the style Cabellas sells? Is one style any more sturdy than the other? Also how well do the two brackets adjust for the width and height of the boat?
