i spoke with fly rod last night via the phone. a nice guy,a well read elder gent.. with NO southern drawl.. though i did have to draw him a picture to figure out who i was..

thought i called the wrong blasted number at first to be honest..

Well, the line I initially answered on has clarity issues. That, plus the Noo Yawk/Tarheel accent made it difficult. Once I realized whom I was speaking with all went smoothly. After all, I certainly had no reason to expect a call from Mr. Z. but am glad that I did receive same.

I truly enjoyed the chat. Zooker is a nice chap and the experience was beneficial to my current anthropological research. I welcome further such contacts.
