older? well then i bet they had what was left of their brains already knocked about huh? hahahaha. love watching the races down in orange beach, i think it was thunder something, anyway, they would rip UP the shoreline. all the boats went in sorta like time relays. then when every boat was in, it was like someone put a blender in the water, hahahahaha. one could surf off of them waves.

Well I'll be damn. You mean to tell me that none of ya'll besides my old buddy ZOOK would take a ride wif me up or down the river. Where's ya'lls sense of adventure. The adrenalin rush off of a ride like that is what keeps me young at heart.I GURANTEE IF YOU EVER DONE IT THE FIRST TIME YOU WOULD BE HOOKED

oh i'd do it. bud had a jet boat that would do around 80 (in the 1/4 mile)

think it was a 20 ft pickle fork. 454 tunnel ram with two 1150 holleys.

heck i can't wait to get in a big bass boat and go that fast.

im asking just out of curiousity and dont want to sound stupid, but they "slowed" down when they got to some white water, what effect do those waters have on a boat like that goin so fast?

also not that i'll ever buy one but how much does one of them boats cost?

average price tag is $90k.. the reason they lift is the boat is propelled by water. in the white water at that speed the water intake would be out of the water when they catch air which means no thrust, less speed, more time to travel between point a and point b they are racing a clock...
