Default Verses ( VS ) Channel

I got a free preview of the Verses channel on my dish network right now. Its got alot of good fishing shows , and its in HD !!! Yea ! I have this free preview untill feburary 25th. Is this channel worth subscribing to , or are they just making the free preview better that it really is ?

I have it as well. Pretty neat channel for the most part. WAY better than the Outdoor Channel if the preview is as good as normal broadcasting. Outdoor Channel is too commercialized and has too much "Paid Programming" in my opinion.

We have it on Direct TV, but we had a free trial of outdoor channel. Now we don'thave it

Versus does play a lot of non-fishing shows though.

I believe there was a show on today (1/31) about fishing the Flint river in Georgia for Shoal Bass. Someone told me it was Shaw Grisby. I missed it... but its supposed be on again Sunday at 12pm (eastern time). Ya'll check it out... thats one of my favorite areas to fish and possibly an area that we could have a get together sometime soon.

It depends if you like to watch hunting shows... from January through the End of June it is mostly fishing shows, but from July to end of December it is mainly hunting shows with very few fishing shows on. We get it through Time Warner, channel 61... (VS)

Guess I'm lucky. Versus is one of the basic 35 cable channels we get. The Outdoors channel is a premium station, so I don't get it.

Versus runs their fishing shows from January to the middle of the summer, then the hunting shows take over full time. Freshwater lineup is Saturday from 7:30 to 1:30 and Sunday is basically for the Salt. Bass Pros use to be on Saturday but now is on Friday instead. You get Houston, Martin, Dance, Lindler, Parker, Grimsby, hunt for big fish, Fishing University, and a few others.

If you don't hunt (which I don't), and have to pay for the station, take it for 6 months then drop it till January again. Best two shows IMHO are Bass Pros & Lindlers Angling.

Prime time is Bull Riding and Cage fighting almost every night besides hockey and Basketball.
