So I am out in the sun alot. I tried loose fitting cotton and it worked for hot sun but failed in rain. The polyester SPF shirts and pants are by far the best. But it comes with a price.. Orvis sells there tech shirts for 68 bucks each and BPS about half that price. I have 20 year old Orvis shirts that still work great. Quick dry and SPF 50. They may not be pretty but they still work. Pants on the other hand are a crap shoot. They are very hard to find the right fit and duribilty. I have ripped the crouch out of LL Bean Orvis and BPS. The only pair I have found that do not rip out are Field and Stream pants.. from Dick's ...if your lookin for Dick's near you do not Google it.

Oh just one more thing.. Sunscreen lotion is not the answer. Some prelimary studies indicate that sunscreen lotion can increase the amount of radition absorbed and prohibit the cooling effect of persperation.

Better to cover that slather...
