Default Motor Keeps Blowing Fuse! Need Help!!!

Hey guys I just got my boat done and I've had it out on the water a couple of times and the last two times I've been out I Keep blowing a fuse in the motor. This makes it so I can't start the motor and have to take the cowl off and try to fix it out on the lake. I've bought multiple fuses and It won't hold anything. If I put a new one in it might last an second or an hour so I'm not sure whats goin on. I just put a new fuse in and it would turn over repeatedly and not blow it, but I'm almost sure it would when I'm out there and I don't want to get stranded anymore! Here are some pics of the problem. I believe this is the fuse that connects the ignition to the starter solenoid, and then the starter?


Also I found the bottom little plug just hangin out not attached to anything , but there is nothing around for it to attach to?

Not sure if they're even the right ones they just fit, so as far as how many amps they hold or how many amps the fuse needs I'm not to sure so Please if you know anything that would help I'd really appreciate it!

I need to know what OMC motor I am looking at so I dont tell you the wrong information.

It's a 1989 Evinrude 88 spl.

I ferget what size fuse is supposed to be in that. What I think you have going on is bad ground and/or a bare or sompromised wired. What are you doing when the motor does die on ya. Keep that in mind when trying to pinpoint the problem. Say if your running down the lake and when you hit the trim and it happens focuse your time on the area of the trim and where the motor moves when trimming...............or maybe your making a right hand turn and.................get the picture.

Clean all the grounds up on the motor. Those OMC really need a good ground everywhere the factory put them. The electronics are sensitive to bad or compromised grounds.
