I never really know what I am going to use until I get fishing.I can tell you I always start out with a jig and a rattle trap tied on.There are some exceptions to this.
Spring - Red rattle traps.Bill Lewis started the #27 trap color back.It is hands down the best spring trap color ever made.I hate paying just short of $6.00 for a Lewis brand trap though. Summer - chartruese /blue backed cranks will be tied on first. Fall- Brown craw skirted jigs.I really like the texas craw skirt pattern.I don't know why but it produces more fish than any other color combination. Its the only time I match skirt/trailer colors. I never know what i am going to throw except one bait i always throw...
Magic bait is the name, not really, its zoom finesse worm watermelon seed, i work it weightless and on the bottom, in the open or in the weeds...85% of the bass i catch come from this bait!
