I am prob one of the few who believe that those parents were just after money . Larry king was quoted saying that during the second case he was at lunch and heard the prosecutor telling another attorney that the kids parents were just after his money , and with the kind of childhood he had who can blame him for being a full grown kid , it kinda pissed me off that all morning while at work the guys on the radio were bashing Jackson and going to town on his image the guy just died yesterday and a little respect is due .

You're right...we don't "know" he was a pedophile. However, I'd fight it out in court before I gave someone 23 cents, much less 23 million just to shut up. There was definitely something rotten in Denmark.

I agree. I think a lot of respect is due. A lot of times things are settled out of court just to get them over with. Was Jackson a pedophile for sure? I dont know. I think he put himself in bad positions either way but that said, who hasnt (maybe not to the extent that he did). I dont have a problem with the jokes and things like that because I am not his family and I didnt know the guy but I do agree that we need to pay him his respect for what he did in his career and the talent he had. I bet 90% of people who post here (yes I may be exagerating a little) have at one time sang along with Billie Jean, Thriller, Bad, Beat it etc.

P.S. I remember that Poster and I wasn't even born yet. WOW

Yes...he was an amazing performer. The reason I don't say musician, is because he actually wrote very few of his hits. Quincy Jones is largely responsible for the music end of Michael Jackson's career. Of course, Jackson sold the music through video like nobody else before him.

I would not want to pay to shut someone up either but the bad publicity most likely would have cost him more than the settlement . I just think that at the end of the day he was a tad simple minded and made an easy target for those out looking for a big payday .

A close member of Michael Jackson's family has told the media Jackson received a daily injection of a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine -- Demerol -- and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.

Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.
