put some ice in the bucket. a guy at the baitshop told me it puts more oxygen in the water and acts like a temporary aerator

If it's a short diastance, get two black trash bags, maybe even three, put them together and walk them over

All the fish we transfer, we put ice in a cooler with an aerator. If the drive is not that far you may not even need one, but it is always a good idea.

Liv 2 fish, Va has decent fishing, but I wouldnt compare it to fla. fishing. Look at the basssmaster top 15. All the big fish come from states like fla, ga, and especially cali.

Vabass22, I think you forgot Tx. Even though bass master doesn't fish much here there are still plenty of big (yes) florida bass and hybrids to be caught in fork, sam rayburn and the newcomer (and my home lake) alan henry.
If your catching the fish to transfer outa a boat, keep them in your livewell with the airater on and then take em out at the pond. Over the past 10 years we have kept all the 7 and 8 lb bass we catch and put them in our private pond. We got some big cows in that lake now! |
