As a guy who throws a scrounger head a lot, I really like that one.

It LOOKS great. And if it swims well, it will be great. The trouble is stuff like this is hard to get to swim properly. Take it from someone who has (admittedly halfheartedly) tried to make a crankbait, they can be very tough to get to swim correctly, to swim straight, or to even just keep from spinning around in circles.
If you've already tested, that's great! Glad to hear it works. BB

i think it looks awesome mack.. really good job.
i like to buy cheap jigs from the bargain bin and take em home, sand the head down, and repaint em to my liking. i use glitter alot too and i have some awesome little jewels to make some killer shiny eyes. cover everything in some clear gloss nail polish and its good to go. and just like bb said, as long as that thing swims well, you got yourself an awesome little lure there.

Thanks BigBassin144... Yeah It swims real nice and straight... and it wiggles more life like than crank baits cuz the skirt bends with it like a fish does... I read quite a bit about crank baits and hydrodynamics of the bill/lip... I can't wait to test it out on a good lake tomorrow (april 30th is early catch and release season here)... I'm going to try different combos of lip angles and size with my new crank jig idea today I think.
Thanks Smitty, I paint my jigs with nail polish too and clear coat them... makes them beautiful shiny and colors and design is limitless for jigs and its really tough hard as nails you could say. |

That's sweet mack, love it! You'll be the only one on the lake with somethin lik it! Let's hope it swim right! As a lure builder my self, I know stuff like that looks a lot of trial and error to get it right!
