Default Spring Time

Is there a bait that will work most of the time in the spring time, for prespawn, spawning, and postspawn largies? I had very good luck with a green pmpk. tiki stick weightless, this past year, but i was just wondering if ya'll had any luck with any other lures in the spring time?? Thanks

Ryan

In early spring just after ice out I have my best luck working a stick bait on the surface with gentle tugs causing it to dive and float back to the surface. My favorite is a Smithwick stickbait in gold with a black back and orange belly. Thats what I caught the bass in my photo with as a matter of fact. Once the water starts to warm up I then have good luck with spinnerbaits, white with gold blades only, and a salamander weightless riggged texas style worked up near shore line cover.

I've had good springtime luck with a senko or similar fished T-rigged weightless. A double tailed hula grub on a 1/8 oz ballhead jig works too.
