Smile Finders Keepers

A great way too get all sorts of things is to go to the shore of a pond or lake that is fished alot or even sometimes a little used one. and walk the shore looking very carefully for all sorts of things. I had my Tackle Box stolen the other day and now ive got a couple tiki worms six or seven other rubber worms and i even found a bright red bobber. I went with my uncle before and found a little lure floating right off the bank. No hooks on it so i guess they rusted away and floated on shore i guess it was in there for awhile. But that was when i had my own box so just handed it to him. Im telling you Check your shores. You will find something. If there are bass ponds around you go to the first one you come too. wal around the entire thing. Then go to the next ones. hat was were i found all of my stuff i mentioned above except the little lure. I think its called a torpedo or somethin like that. But i found that on the edge of a lake.

A better way is to go to West Virginia and steal somebodys tackle box

Allright bad joke. Around here the draw the lakes down in the winter to flood areas for duck hunters. You can find really good stuff then. Last years total was 10 crankbaits, 3 boat anchors, and 3 good arrowheads.

you can find bags of crack rock at my local stock tank. I did find a tackle box in the Ocala National Forest one day, wasn't even at a lake, just sitting on the trail at the base of a hill. Looked like maybe somebody placed it on top of their vehicle when they left the lake. Got to the hill and it fell off. Had a nice assortment of soft plastics.

Im with you ILfishinman. Buying stuff you pay for something that you dont know whether it works good or not. When you find stuff on the shore you can try it out in a few spots and see how it is before deciding to buiy more of them.

I recently lost my very last of my very favorite color Wiggle Wart, and I can't find another. I went so far as to have a bait custom made with that color. A few days ago, one of the guys in my club found one of those very baits on the shore, and gave it to me

You may also look in tree tops above the water. These are great places to find baits that someone couldn't find due to what ever was in the way. I.e leaves, branches etc...

i hate to post on old threads but another good way to find things is to take one of those wire sringers for trout fishing open up all the hooks and tie to to a rope and drag the stringer behind your boat. youd be surprised what you will find.

One Time me and my dad went fishing in a river for walleyes and my wader sprung a leak so i couldn't fish. ='( anyways Isat on the bank for an hour with my knife and plier and collected over 125 jig heads. I threw away the old plastics though. I wouldn't want to use worms or grubs or anything i found, they're all ripped up.

Fishy,

PM me with a READABLE (Press "Juan" for Eengleesh) list of what you had in the stolen box, what you WISH you had in it (had it not been swiped,), and what you have now.

Thanks,

Kindly Ol' Uncle Fly

Cheeseman, I have recently had all my tackle stolen. This includes 3 G Loomis rods, 3 spinning reels [2 shimano, pflueger] and a whole bag full of soft plastics and 5$ spinnerbaits...

Fishyskater (I always knew there was something fishy about them tight pants wearin skater kids...) just looking on the bank of a given pond/lake will not be sufficient enough for my needs. PLus the bait monkey would whoop my a** for it.

Sir,

Should you feel a need to persist in referring to me as someone related to the making or sales of curdled milk products, please address me in future as "Le Grande Fromage" (The Big Cheese). If you are an illegal messican alien (which I'm increasingly inclined to suspect.) you may address me in your native tongue as "El Queso Grande".

Merci, Gracias,
and Thank You,

Sincerely,

FR (Flyroddus Rex)

well here enlies the problem, I am niether French nor Mexican. Irish and German indeed, so find something appropriate in that genre and I will be more than happy to follow through. 'Flyboy' and 'Flyguy' and what not are jst too ordinary, gotta have some kinda uniqueness in the name calling.
