i have a falcon original in a 7' MH action that i love. i have a lot of other high end rods that i love too but this rod feels more comfortable in my hand then the others for what ever reason and it is really versatile. i throw all top waters including frogs on it as well as soft plastics, and without gouing out to my boat to look i think i have either a spinnerbait or a chatterbait on it right now so it is a good all around rod. i would suggest a medium heavy in whatever brand you choose because that is a great all around action, then i would just suggest that you don't order one without holding it first, it has to be comfortable that is the most important thing. and last i would say that if you are buying a reel to put on it make sure you put the reel on it before the purchase, again for the comfort issue. you could have the best made rod and the top of the line reel and sometimes they will feel really chitty together.

i have that combo tb,but it just recently crapped out on me after 2 years of bass catching. i used it about every day though. bubba, get a quality 6'6'' medium-heavy rod,but make sure you look up the model and every thing, and if you can,use one or try out a couple at bass pro shops or your tackle shop.
