Talking Finally got to go out!!!!

I went to Clear Lake yesterday with a couple of buddies We went in our kickboats. For those who dont know what a kickboat is get the newest BassMaster Mag. We have a great article on out club. Anyways we launched and right away(715 am) had 15-20 mph winds. You guys in your big boat whine alot about the wind let me tell you when your motor is mainly your legs.....wwhhhooowhhheee. I can barely move them today. I went over to these set of docks that i have always caught fish and got 4 right off the bat. Nothing big all around 2 lbs. This is a big dock around a resort on the lake. Within 2 hrs or so I would guess somewhere around 50-75 crappie fishermen showed up. Talk about Combat Fishing!!! These guys were slaying the crappie I saw slabs to 3 lbs pulled out. Was a sad sight when these guys were pulling out pregnant females though. what can you do. DFG showed up and wrote a few guys tickets for having to many fish. After a while came back to same spot(was a good spot outa the wind) and get another 7 more. Samething of nothing over 2 lbs. After almost 7 weeks of no fishing was happy as could be. I actully almost have bass thumb!! So after battling all the crappie fisherman and the wind, myself and 2 other buddies ended up with over 30 fish fo the day. Cant wait to get back into the groove of going everyweekend. Spring just cant get here fast enough!!!

1FastLaser, can you bolt a 90 HP optimax on a kickboat or would it be too heavy ?Deacon, how much pressure can you put on a fish from that kickboat ? I would be afraid you couldn't move them out of the weeds very well. I have trouble sometimes in my aluminum.P N J
