Default Some pic from our blizzard.

Ok, hardly a blizzard. I was stomping through some of the sticks around the house and thought I'd share.

That's one thing about living here in NC. When it snows, it stays just long enough for you to have a little fun in it, then it's usually melted and gone the next day. Except in the mountains of course. At least it won't ice this time.

That was left over from earlier in the week. We had 30-40 mph gusts.

I find it funny. Around here, the weather man calls for snow and within a matter of hours, there's not a slice of bread nor a leaking jug of milk to be found on the shelves. (Slight exaggeration, but not by much) Then that's what we get everytime. I've lived here all my life, 40 years, and I've seen one bad snow storm, which brought us 2 feet of snow and it stayed cold enough for about a week to keep it at mimminal melting. That was back in 2000. Our biggest problem is we often get ice rather than snow, and even then the roads are pretty clear by the next day. No need for people to freak, but they do.

Personally I get more worried about hurricane season. Been a while since we've been hit good and hard by one.

Yeah 1/4, snow storms are just another day around here. I'd freak out if a hurricane was comin though.
Wouldn't stock up on leaky milk, but maybe on some spare drawers

lol, back when I drank I would just sit on the front porch and drink beer when thunderstorms came up, just to watch the cars hydroplane down the hill. Partly so I could catch them and make them pay for my mailbox cause I'd replaced 5 in one year because of it. Partly because it was funny.

One day a lady hydroplaned into my driveway, while I was helping her. Another car skidded into another right infront of the driveway, so she couldn't get out. She got all hyper and was crying, I had my arm around her trying to calm her down, BAMM! I look up in time to see a piece of metal go flying over our heads. Another car had hydroplaned into those two cars. The first lady came back up to the house with me and sat on the porch and drank a beer with me. Said she won't going nowhere for awhile. lol
