What is the smallest body of water you've seen that had shad in it?

a shot glass at lake of the ozarks.......we went to a restuarant up there called big dicks halfway in (i swear that is the name of it). anyways if you take a shot that has a minnow in it you get a t-shirt that says "I shot the minnow". I have that shirt now haha.

but since a minnow isn't exactly a shad and i am sure you aren't asking about shot glasses, i have seen some shad in small ponds. maybe 2 or 3 acres.

That's great and funny. I bet you have a t-shirt from the restuarant to. I know I would.

lmao C-rig. I'm surprised this page wasn't blocked at my school.

So basically the body of water size doesn't really affect whether there will be shad in it or not.

Default Just my thoughts !!

I really don't believe it matters the size..I use to wonder how fish made it to small ponds and learned latter birds or cranes carry them they can also hurt managed waters....

Just thought I might add that

Later Will

tennessee my friend you are correct about the birds and cranes carriying the fish and dropping them. i knew a fella that built a very small pond YEARS ago. he built it so that his grandchildren could have a place to swim when they came over. well after a few years he noticed that there were fish in the pond, shad, bream and a couple of crappies. he had the pond shocked only to find that his "swimming hole" had turned into a fish pond with all the above mentioned and a few bass as well. he thought at first that maybe the kids had thrown in some fish, but they hadn't. and he asked the conservation people how it happened, they told him the birds and cranes most likely did it.it does happen that way. weird, but that is nature for ya.

Man I would have kept the fish in there and enjoyed the fishing.
