Default Ok I broke the mold

Ive always ran old stuff sometimes junk, mostly due to monetary means.
I recently treated my self to a 1985 stratos 385V(only made 1 year)yes 28 years old but had led a sheltered life.
Then mounted with a problem all my motors mostly omc and one rice burner are 150 or less, and controls were black.Did the unthinkable spent $ got a fresh rebuild Merc 200 efi lol yes merc.
Black on black

No not really the monkey didnt want to be 40 miles away and have mother nature kick up,this is slightly longer at 19 ft,better than 17 any day,yes could be longer but wallet will only stretch so far.So treated myself to one last motor, should last as long as I do if not longer.
So Ive been a bad boy, black on black-MERC lol.
Not looking forward to ten hrs breakin, but a must.

Hope so nobass its a 42 mile run,but after breakin.
Its not as fast as my allison or as big as my 22 jaguar, yet longer than the wee sport, was going backwards for a bit.Notice its a deep v or deeper than many 385v became a fish ski later and 400 lbs heavier, should do ok in the chop will soon find out.
It came with a short shaft foot troller switched it out to that hand 50 in model even so every few times up and down will air that short thing would have spent most of its time out rather than in the water.Unlike newer stratos it has front and back livewells but none divided.Back livewell do have bit of work as their outflow is bad placed in at an angle, will pull and fiberglass old hole in then drill new, then gelcoat that at a later time after determining if good to go.If you get a ride in it have sunglasses as that silver will blind you.Have two pro seats, they take up less room.
